Since 2001, Thrive has been both the first point of contact and last line of defense for our community's most vulnerable people, and no one is turned away. We provide programs and services to over 700 participants each year, and as proud as we are of that number, we know there is still much more we can do to help. With that in mind, we are launching our latest fundraising campaign, 100 Businesses for 1000 Reasons. The idea is simple: With the help of 100 local businesses, we hope to raise $100,000 to support the important work Thrive does on a daily basis with our city’s most marginalized individuals.
At Thrive, our goal is to help vulnerable individuals achieve their goals, which means working with them rather than turning them away. Our Education Programs offer individualized services ranging from foundational literacy and numeracy through to GED preparation and testing to youth between 16-29. Street Reach provides barrier free outreach service that is guided by the principles of harm reduction and community collaboration to individuals of all ages. Blue Door supports individuals in exiting sex trade activities and/or sexually exploitive situations. CASEY (Coalition Against the Sexual Exploitation of Youth) is comprised of a group of concerned professionals and experiential voices in the community that work together to address issues pertaining to the sexual exploitation of youth.
The 100 Business for 1000 Reasons campaign will not just help us sustain these programs - it will enable us to expand services to include individuals waiting for support.
You can help make that happen by donating $1000 through your organization, or even through employee contributions.
We hope you will join us in helping vulnerable individuals reach their full potential - by meeting them where they are; helping them get to where they want to go; and supporting them to be who they want to be.
